Beechboro Early Learning Program

play in the nature garden in beechboro's early learning program

At Meerilinga we believe in a balanced approach to teaching and learning.  Our play based ethos encourages our children to wonder, ask questions and to explore the world around them.

Meerilinga Beechboro is a not-for-profit organisation and a vibrant hub for community groups and families. With small groups of less than 20 children per day, your child will get the support they need. Our much loved pre-kindy programs are located in the heart of wonderfully diverse Beechboro. Thanks to this diversity, Meerilinga Beechboro has a wide range of cultural activities for children and families to enjoy. What’s more, all of our staff are trained in cultural competency.

Meerilinga Beechboro is walking distance to the Beechboro Primary School. Our educators frequently use the park next door to educate and inspire a love of nature in our children. The importance of nature play and healthy lifestyles has also influenced the design of our outdoor play area. Our qualified staff ask the children about their favourite things to do and tailor the program to suit their interests.

At Meerilinga Beechboro we promote positive childhoods within the Beechboro community. We support the individual needs of local families and their child’s transition into kindy – and life. Meerilinga closely follows ACECQA‘s vision of Belonging, Being & Becoming. To support our learning journey, Meerilinga Beechboro uses the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to create our educational programs. Our team at Meerilinga Beechboro are passionate about letting your child enjoy childhood and facilitating meaningful discoveries as they learn through play.

Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards

Meerilinga was very privileged to attend The Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards hosted by Child Australia. It was a wonderful event where achievements in our industry were celebrated by the Honourable Sabine Winton MLA and many distinguished guests.  Our own Lisa Humphreys - Educator Beechboro was awarded 2nd place for the "Outstanding Early Childhood Educator Award".

Playgroups

No child is too young for playgroup. All children from birth-5 years, love new experiences and benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through activities at playgroup.

Playgroups vary from one session a week made up of three or more members to multiple sessions over the week. Session times are informed from the group from time to time.

Our playgroups coincide with the School term. Please visit the education dept website or contact the service for these dates. Future Term Dates.

At playgroup generally members and caregivers attend with their children and retain responsibility for their wellbeing and supervision at all times.
