For the 2025-2026 holiday period, Meerilinga will be closed from Saturday 20 December 2025 and will reopen on Tuesday 13 January 2026.

Fees will not be charged for Meerilinga Early Learning Programs published closure days.

Meerilinga Beechboro runs vibrant Playgroups and Early Learning Programs that embrace the diversity of our local community. Our Educators have training in cultural competency and will encourage your child to wonder, ask questions and explore the world around them.

Meerilinga Beechboro is walking distance to the Beechboro Primary School while the park next door helps in our education of nature play and healthy lifestyles, providing a safe space that is complementary to our enclosed outdoor play area. This play area includes sandpits, slides, our resident chickens and large shaded areas, while our interior rooms are brightly lit with room for fun activities and mat time.

Meet the team at Meerilinga Beechboro and help your child to make meaningful discoveries through play, while also connecting with families and the community.

Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards

Meerilinga was privileged to attend The Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards hosted by Child Australia. It was a wonderful event where achievements in our industry were celebrated by the Honourable Sabine Winton MLA and many other distinguished guests.  Our own Lisa Humphreys (Early Childhood Educator, Beechboro) was awarded Second Place in the "Outstanding Early Childhood Educator Award". Congratulations to our team and Lisa for the recognition!

Beechboro's Totem: Kulbardi

The Kulbardi, or magpie, is a curious, confident and intelligent bird that is common to the Beechboro area. You may often see these birds looking for food and caring for their young.

This totem was designed in consultation with local Elders and the forms part of Meerilinga’s journey towards reconciliation. Thank you to Whadjuk Artist Ms Julianne Wade for creating the artwork.

Playgroups

No child is too young for a Meerilinga Playgroup! All children from birth to five years love new experiences and can benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through our playgroup activities.

Even better, Meerilinga Playgroups are designed to involve and connect parents and families, with caregivers attending alongside their children and retaining responsibility for their wellbeing during each session.
