Our Advisor for Policy and Compliance, Rhonda, is continually working to help our Centres provide exceptional care for the children who learn there. Here she reflects on the achievements of one of our Centres in exceeding several of the National Quality Standards.
One of the highlights of my role is visiting our Children and Community Centres. I’m always made to feel welcome and continue to be inspired by the amazing work our teams are doing across all locations. I regularly observe the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care programs, the strength of professional relationships and a strong culture of compliance, an essential standard in this highly regulated industry.
I’d like to share how proud I was to hear the news that our Kingsley service was recently recognised as Exceeding the National Quality Standard in Quality Area 2 – Children’s Health and Safety. As someone who supports policy and compliance across our services, I know that Quality Area 2 is one of the most comprehensive and high-risk areas of the National Quality Framework. This result affirms the strength of our health and safety systems, along with the consistent, high-quality practices embedded across Meerilinga.
This is a significant achievement that reflects the dedication of our teams to ensuring children are safe, protected and well cared for while attending our programs. Our policies, procedures, and compliance practices underpin this success. They provide the foundation for our daily work, ensuring we are not only meeting the National Quality Framework but striving beyond it, to an exceeding level.
Our teams continue to demonstrate this commitment by upholding best practices in all areas of children’s health and safety, from rigorous risk management and high standards in supervision, to clear incident procedures and ongoing focus on supporting children’s overall wellbeing.
This result is a reflection of everyone’s efforts and professionalism, and a reminder that our collective actions truly make a difference. Through continuous improvement and collaboration, we can continue to build on this success. Let’s celebrate this achievement and keep working together to reach Exceeding across all quality areas.
