You are invited to see Belinda from Little Green Steps WA, carry out a Waste Audit at Sparrow Early Learning South Lake. Then bring the learning back into your Service.
A waste audit is a great way to see what is being wasted and how much waste is being produced from our daily activities. By measuring how much and what types of waste are going to landfill.
We can then look at ways to support positive waste reducing behaviours:
• encouraging children to value our resources
• avoiding waste by taking care of our purchasing choices
• looking at how we can organise our centre to reduce and recycle materials before they become waste
Resources will be provided to be able to complete your own audit and Belinda will provide support to do so.
