MyLife MySuper is an industry super fund owned and run by members. In 2015, Meerilinga approached Mylife Mysuper Fund for a short term grant to support start up operating costs of our new Cockburn Children and Family Centre. This period was a landmark change for Meerilinga to build our own self-sufficiency strategy. We were delighted in the agreement and generosity of the Fund’s Directors over three years to get us over the hurdle of initial operating costs and enable us to provide significant professional learning for our early education team.
Our Early Learning Program achieved the Exceeding rating in 2015. Over this time, our Educator team has grown from 8 to 25 overall in six locations. Cockburn Centre remains community focused, and has grown and developed into a vibrant hub of services and programs for children and their families, including a range of early learning services for the development and wellbeing of children, holiday activities, parenting and family support services, community education and events as a local, independent, charitable organisation.
