With the school holidays upon us it’s time to start planning what you’ll do to keep the little ones occupied for two weeks! Meerilinga’s community centres located in Ballajura, Beechboro, Cockburn, and High Wycombe will have a number of school holiday activities running.
We’ve pulled together a quick guide to activities happening in each of our centres:
Ballajura
BoogieRoos
A music and movement session aimed at 0-5 year olds. So much fun and excitement to be had with action packed songs and loads of brights and colourful props.
Wednesday, 3rd October 2 – 3pm
Circus Interactive Show and Workshop
Circus interactive show and hands on workshop, face painting and sausage sizzle. For Children 5-8 years. Spaces are limited booking is essential.
Friday 28th September 10am-12pm
Beechboro
Arts and Crafts Workshop
Meerilinga in conjunction with The City of Swan will put on an exciting community event with resources from Remida, a sausage sizzle and much more.
Come on down and get creative using recycled materials, have some fun and meet other members of the community.
Thursday, 27th September 10am – 12pm

Monday, 1st October 1.15 – 2.15pm
Dad’s Day Out
Come along for an exciting football filled morning with plenty of engaging activities for the children and their dads, uncles, grandfathers and brothers, with the opportunity to have a chat to some familiar football players, footy signing and photos.

-Biggest kick competition
-Hand ball competition
-Messy play, face painting and a sausage sizzle.

Cockburn
Little Chef Cooking Classes
Mini Me 3 – 5 year old classes September 26 – October 3
Mini Me 6 – 8 year old classes September 27 – October 4
Come and cook up a storm! Sessions include a recipe file per child and all the ingredients. We will have some fun getting messy with a craft activity included. Limited spaces available so bookings are essential. RSVP to Margi Smolders at Meerilinga on 9331 2211 or cockburn@meerilinga.org.au
High Wycombe

Konga Kids
Konga® Kids is an easy to follow dance fitness class for children aged 4 – 12 years old. The class combines simplistic dance moves to upbeat music and disco lights to provide a fun atmosphere.
