Beechboro Early Learning Program
Meerilinga Beechboro is a not-for-profit organisation and a vibrant hub for community groups and families. We believe in a balanced approach to teaching and learning and our play-based ethos will encourage your child to wonder, ask questions and explore the world around them, all under the guidance of our experienced Early Childhood Educators.
These fantastic Educators will engage your child in the Early Years Learning Framework developed by ACECQA, helping your child to learn social skills alongside academic understanding and prepare for formal schooling. As a not-for-profit aimed at promoting positive childhoods and engaging the diversity of our local community, our staff have training in cultural competency and our Centre has a wide range of cultural activities for children and families to enjoy.
Meerilinga Beechboro is walking distance to the Beechboro Primary School while the park next door helps in our education of nature play and healthy lifestyles and provides a safe space that is complementary to our enclosed outdoor play area.
Meet the team at Meerilinga Beechboro and help your child to make meaningful discoveries through play while also connecting with families and the community.
Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards
Meerilinga was privileged to attend The Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards hosted by Child Australia. It was a wonderful event where achievements in our industry were celebrated by the Honourable Sabine Winton MLA and many other distinguished guests. Our own Lisa Humphreys (Early Childhood Educator, Beechboro) was awarded Second Place in the "Outstanding Early Childhood Educator Award". Congratulations to our team and Lisa for the recognition!
Playgroups
No child is too young for a Meerilinga Playgroup! All children from birth to five years love new experiences and can benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through our playgroup activities.
Even better, Meerilinga Playgroups are designed to involve and connect parents and families, with caregivers attending alongside their children and retaining responsibility for their wellbeing during each session.
Including at least three families at a time, your local Centre’s Playgroups go on at least once a week and coincide with the School Term, the dates of which can be found on the Department of Education website.
Play with purpose and connect with your community by discovering your local Meerilinga Playgroup today.
