Kingsley Early Learning Program

Begin your child’s learning journey with the welcoming community at Meerilinga Kingsley! More than a daycare, our team of experienced Early Childhood Educators are ready to guide your child through their first crucial stages of development and prepare them for school.

Our play to learn model encourages your child to explore their world and create their own unique learning outcomes, improving their knowledge and school-readiness and developing their socialisation and language skills. Our Playgroup and Early Learning Programs achieve this by closely following the Early Years Learning Framework provided by ACECQA to further our shared vision of positive childhoods.

As a not-for-profit set to change children’s lives for the better, we also collaborate closely with community partners in all aspects of the organisation, including through regular community events and parenting workshops. At Meerilinga Kingsley, our great relationship with Dalmain Primary School also helps to assist our children when they enter the formal school curriculum.

Come and see the difference that our Early Childhood Educators can make to your child’s life at Meerilinga, where we make meaningful discoveries through play.

Kingsley's Totem: Yongka

The Yongka is proud, loyal and loves the company of others. Its meaning is related to teaching and guiding, while also encouraging diligence, respect and humility.

This totem was designed in consultation with local Elders and the forms part of Meerilinga’s journey towards reconciliation. Thank you to Whadjuk Artist Ms Julianne Wade for creating the artwork.

The Early Childhood Learning & Development Sector Awards

The Meerilinga team were privileged to attend Child Australia’s the 2025 WA Early Childhood Learning and Development Sector Awards. This wonderful event celebrated the achievements of our industry, including those of Meerilinga’s Early Learning Programs.

Kingsley were thrilled to feature throughout the night, including receiving second place for Service in Excellence in Partnership with Families, Communities and Schools.

This award shows that we are fulfilling our mission of caring for children by serving their families and the community.

Playgroups

No child is too young for a Meerilinga Playgroup! All children from birth to five years love new experiences and can benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through our playgroup activities.

Even better, Meerilinga Playgroups are designed to involve and connect parents and families, with caregivers attending alongside their children and retaining responsibility for their wellbeing during each session.

Including at least three families at a time, your local Centre’s Playgroups goes on at least once a week and coincide with the School Term, the dates of which can be found on the Department of Education website.
