Meerilinga Cockburn’s refreshed community hub and play areas are located on Winterfold Road in Coolbellup. We have quality nature-based experiences, and our children have access to a seasonal veggie patch, the fun of looking after chickens, a swinging bridge and a great sandpit surrounded by shady trees.

Cockburn's Totem: Kulbardi
The Kulbardi, or magpie, is a curious, confident and intelligent bird that is common to the Cockburn area. You may often see these birds looking for food and caring for their young.
This totem was designed in consultation with local Elders and the forms part of Meerilinga’s journey towards reconciliation. Thank you to Whadjuk Artist Ms Julianne Wade for creating the artwork.
Playgroups
No child is too young for a Meerilinga Playgroup! All children from birth to five years love new experiences and can benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through our playgroup activities.
Even better, Meerilinga Playgroups are designed to involve and connect parents and families, with caregivers attending alongside their children and retaining responsibility for their wellbeing during each session.

Bindi Kindi Cockburn
This program is designed to nurture and engage two to three year old children, helping them to build confidence and thrive in a social setting.
- Age: 2-3 year olds
- Days: Tuesday to Friday
- Times: 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Session Fee: $114.60

Pre-Kindy Cockburn
The experienced Educators of our small classes follow a play-based curriculum that is designed to address the individual needs of your child while preparing them for school.
- Age: 2.9-5 year olds
- Days: Tuesday to Friday
- Times: 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Session Fee: $114.60
