For the 2025-2026 holiday period, Meerilinga will be closed from Saturday 20 December 2025 and will reopen on Tuesday 13 January 2026.

Fees will not be charged for Meerilinga Early Learning Programs published closure days.

Meerilinga High Wycombe’s balanced approach to teaching and exploring leads to a more positive early education for your child. Our track record is proven, and we are continuing to build on our recognition as the ‘WA Service of the Year’ in 2018’s Early Childhood Education and Care Awards.

As a local not-for-profit working to improve the lives of High Wycombe families, we collaborate closely with community partners in all aspects of our organisation. With the help of these partners and dozens of generous volunteers, our Centre boasts a wonderful ‘Nature Play’ learning area where children can have their own adventures and keep an eye on the birds that visit our nesting boxes.

Discover our community hub next to Edney Primary School and see the difference that our Early Childhood Educators can make to your child’s life.

High Wycombe's Totem: Dumarlark

The Dumarlark is a frequent guest of the nesting boxes that we have built for them at our High Wycombe Centre. These parrots are a signifier of camp safety and protection and were chosen as High Wycombe’s totem in consultation with local elders of the community.

This totem was designed in consultation with local Elders and the forms part of Meerilinga’s journey towards reconciliation. Thank you to Whadjuk Artist Ms Julianne Wade for creating the artwork.

Playgroups

No child is too young for a Meerilinga Playgroup! All children from birth to five years love new experiences and can benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through our playgroup activities.

Even better, Meerilinga Playgroups are designed to involve and connect parents and families, with caregivers attending alongside their children and retaining responsibility for their wellbeing during each session.
