Families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) could receive up to five days of subsidised care at some Meerilinga Centres, thanks to the Australian Government’s new 3 Day Guarantee.
What is the 3 Day Guarantee?
From January 2026, the Government will make early learning more affordable for families with a new initiative called the 3 Day Guarantee.
This change will help to make high quality early learning available for more children, with CCS eligible families able to receive a minimum of 72 hours of subsidised Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) each fortnight for each child. This doubles the previous guarantee of 36 hours and will help more families who are not currently working or studying to provide the best start for their children.
Families will still receive 100 hours of subsidised care each fortnight for each child if they meet the eligibility requirements set out by the Government. Find out more about the Child Care Subsidy here.
How will this help Meerilinga families?
This change will help our families with cost of living while allowing their children to participate in the excellent programs that Meerilinga is known for.
Even better, since the hours of care for our services are child-friendly and align closely with school hours, these reduced hours mean that CCS eligible families will receive more than just three days of guaranteed subsidised care at Meerilinga. Instead of a 3 Days Guarantee, this equates to up to a:
- 5 day guarantee at Coolbellup, High Wycombe, Hilton, Kingsley and Woodvale
- 4 day guarantee care at Beechboro and Ballajura
